Statement on the Importance of Sacrament:
Dear Brothers and Sisters
We would like to reaffirm the great importance of the sacrament in each of our lives. We remind you that those few minutes are the most important minutes all week.
Please take this time to put away any distractions. Focus your thoughts on the sacrifice of your Savior and Redeemer Jesus Christ. Lift up your hearts & voices and join together in singing to Him. Ponder your week – the good and the bad – looking for ways to improve. Prayerfully ask for forgiveness and the companionship of the Holy Ghost. Partake of the sacrament reverently, quietly, and with confidence. Take time to relish in the joy Jesus provides & receive His Spirit & great love for you individually. Remember this should be the church of joy!
May God bless each of you and your families as you strive to make the Sacrament a more meaningful experience, a true connection to heaven.
Love,
Presidents Zollinger, Stolworthy and Workman

ANNOUNCEMENTS:
- Cannery Assignments – We are pleased to announce that the cannery assignments for 2026 have been received for all wards within the Providence South Stake. To view your specific assignments, please visit the ward cannery assignments link here. We encourage each ward to be proactive and begin filling your assigned slots as soon as possible, as all assignments for 2026 are now available for planning and coordination. Remember that young men and women ages 16 and older are encouraged to participate. We are grateful for the opportunity our Father in Heaven has given us to serve those in need. As a reminder of the importance of this work, please reflect on the words from Matthew 25:35-36: “For I was an hungered, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in…Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me.”
- Old Testament Scripture Class! Learning from the Old Testament may be more fun and inspiring than you think. Brother John Harding will be leading a weekday Old Testament class for the stake. We will gather every Wednesday evening from 7-7:45PM at the red brick building on Canyon Road. The learning experience will be a little different. Brother Harding will not give any lectures or teach any formal lessons. His effort will be focused on helping each class member engage with the Old Testament text in ways that allow the Spirit to give them personally relevant and meaningful insights. We are confident it will be a unique and enjoyable experience for all and hope you will join us
- “I Believe” Area-Wide Devotional 6/7 at 6:30pm – The purpose of this devotional is to bring neighbors of all faiths together to celebrate our shared belief in Jesus Christ and create more understanding, friendship, and connection within our community. We especially hope this event gives youth in our stake an opportunity to invite, connect with, and build meaningful friendships with peers from other churches and backgrounds in Cache Valley.
Several players from the Utah State football team, coming from different faiths, cultures, and life experiences, will be sharing personal stories and testimonies centered on Jesus Christ.
